Dugarry blasts Barca and Van Gaal

Christophe Dugarry has described his time at Barcelona as a 'living hell' and how he pretended to cry so he could leave the club.

The former French international striker did not hold back on criticising his former club and former boss Louis Van Gaal on RMC Sport.

"I pretended to cry so they would let me leave," said the 44-year-old who is now a TV pundit.

"He (Van Gaal) would criticise me, saying 'you lost possession in the 23rd, 48th and 53rd minutes, why?' and you would have to think of something to say.

"I couldn't take it anymore, those were a horrible six months and were like a living hell!"

Dugarry failed to score in any of his seven appearances for the Catalans, before moving on to Marseille.
