Eliaquim Mangala is in Valencia undergoing a medical ahead of completing a loan move from Manchester City.
It had been rumoured that the French defender would re-join former club Porto, having been told he did not feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans at Etihad Stadium.
However, reports emerged on Wednesday that Los Che had made a late offer for the 25-year-old as they look to replace Shkodran Mustafi, who has left for Arsenal.
Talks took place in Madrid between Mestalla sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch and Mangala’s agent, Jorge Mendes, with an agreement now seemingly reached.
Mangala has been pictured in Valencia arriving for his medical, with his switch to the Blanquinegros all but sewn up.
