Eliaquim Mangala has completed his loan switch to Valencia from Manchester City, it has been confirmed.
The 25-year-old defender is one of several players being loaned out by Pep Guardiola on transfer deadline day. He turned down a return to former club Porto in order to move to the Mestalla.
The Frenchman will give Los Che Coach Pako Ayesteran a much-needed additional defensive option following the sale of Shkodran Mustafi to Arsenal.
Mangala has also previously played for Belgian team Standard Liege and arrives in La Liga on the back of a two-year spell at Etihad Stadium.
Valencia want to bring in another defender, most likely to be Zenit St Petersburg’s Ezequiel Garay, before the transfer deadline on Wednesday night.
