Abelardo Fernandez says Sporting Gijon’s positive start to the season is making them believe in what they are doing.
The Rojiblancos have collected four points from their first two matches of the new campaign, securing a goalless draw away to newly-promoted Alaves on Sunday.
“The result was fair, it was a very hard-fought game that fluctuated,” the Molinon Coach told reporters in the wake of his side’s match in the Basque country.
“There were two teams who played with a lot of intensity, who wanted to attack and keep the ball.
“Coming here against Alaves in front of their fans with them back in the Primera was difficult.
“These positive results make us believe in the work we are doing.”
