Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of a €61m double swoop for Deportivo La Coruna forward Lucas Perez and Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi.
According to BBC Sport, Arsenal have agreed to meet Lucas’ €20m release clause, the attacker’s haul of 19 goals and 11 assists last season catching the Gunners’ eye.
Progress in the Mustafi deal is said to be not as advanced, however the German “is set to join for a fee in excess of” €40m.
Friday’s edition of AS claims Depor will not look to sign a replacement for Lucas, having already brought in Florin Andone from second-tier Cordoba, while Valencia continue to be linked with the likes of Sidnei, Fabian Schar and old boy Raul Albiol as centre-back reinforcements.
