Russia offers for Konoplyanka

Sevilla’s Yevhen Konoplyanka has two offers from Russia – from Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow – according to reports in Ukraine.

AS cites Sport.ua as saying the international forward is wanted in Russia after not being at all involved in Los Rojiblancos’ La Liga opener at Espanyol, Konoplyanka having suggested he isn’t entirely happy with his situation at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

“I’ve had offers and the transfer window is still open. I’m very clear in my position. I’m not giving up, but I want to see what happens,” he is quoted as saying.

It’s also felt that both Spartak and Zenit would be able to take on Konoplyanka’s significant wages, said to be around €4m-per-year.
