Real Sociedad hope to get Diego Reyes back from Porto in the last week of the transfer window.
The Mexico international spent last season at Anoeta and La Real were keen to extend his stay but Porto wanted Reyes back so new Coach Nuno Espirito Santo could make a decision, AS reports.
With the season underway Reyes appears surplus to numbers at his club and La Real are hopeful they can get him back, either for €4m – lower than Porto asked late last season – or on another year-long loan.
The Basques though have competition from Granada and Espanyol, but is a direct request of Coach Eusebio Sacristan to the club’s higher-ups, and wanted to remain before Porto called him back.
