Porto are reportedly interested in signing either Aymen Abdennour or Aderlan Santos as Valencia remain without buyers for the out-of-favour defenders.
According to A Bola, Porto – now coached by former Valencia boss Nuno Santo – is keen to “strengthen his defence” and has enquired about the duo.
Valencia spent €30.5m of the €45m they recouped from Nicolas Otamendi’s sale on the two stoppers last summer, with Abdennour coming in at €21m from Monaco, but neither lived up to expectations.
Los Che must also raise €1m before August 31 in order to comply with Financial Fair Play, enrol marquee signing Nani and possibly bring in another centre-back.
