Real Sociedad have confirmed that goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli will join the club permanently on a four-and-a-half year contract in December.
La Real explained in a statement on their official website that Rulli would be loaned back until December before becoming a permanent member of their squad.
Manchester City had bought Rulli’s playing rights from Deportivo Maldonado for a reported €4m last month, thus it appears the Basques have loaned the 24-year-old from City and will purchase the player from them.
However, the Premier League giants are said to have retained their buyback clause for the Argentine in 2018.
