Kevin Gameiro has suffered a thigh injury on only his third day of training with new club Atletico Madrid.
Gameiro moved to Atletico from Sevilla over the weekend but has been hit with a thigh injury after less than a week of training under Diego Simeone and Cholo’s noted fitness coach, Oscar Ortega, known as El Profe – the professor.
AS notes Gameiro’s first exposure to Atletico’s methods was a triple training session on Monday and it was hoped he’d be ready to play against Crotone on Saturday, though that is no longer possible.
