Kevin Gameiro is ready for the challenge of Atletico Madrid and wants to compete for La Liga and the Champions League.
Gameiro over the weekend completed a move from Sevilla to Atletico and knows his role under Diego Simeone.
“I hope to win trophies with this team. It’s a great club, we will compete for the League and the Champions League. I’m here to help the team and score a lot of goals,” he said, AS reports.
“It’s very important for me to work for the team and the objective is to score goals. I really want to start working with the team and getting to know the group. It’s a new challenge for me.
“Atletico are very strong defensively and they’re a very tough-minded team. It’s hard to play against Atletico, this is a club with great values. It’s going to go well.”
