Marco Verratti has confirmed Real Madrid’s “flattering” interest as Unai Emery says Jese Rodriguez “is a possibility” for Paris Saint-Germain.
Verratti has been put forward by AS as a fresh midfield target for Madrid, along with his PSG teammate Blaise Matuidi, Moussa Sissoko and Nemanja Matic, but while the Italian is happy Los Blancos are pursuing him, he will only consider leaving France once he has “won something important”.
“I’m flattered that a great team like Real Madrid are interested in me, but I’ve made the decision of winning with Paris,” he told Le Parisien.
“I want to win something important here before I get tired or that the club no longer want me.”
Jese, meanwhile, has been linked with moving in the opposite direction this past week, and Emery served to fuel the speculation when asked about the forward.
“He’s a good player, I know him well and so do the club. It’s a possibility,” the Coach added.
