Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of striker Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla for a reported €41m.
Gameiro has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Atletico and will travel to Madrid on Saturday for a medical, which is seen as a formality.
The 29-year-old joined Sevilla from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013 and scored 67 goals for the Andalusians, in a spell that coincided with three straight Europa Leagues.
He enjoyed his best season in front of goal last season, netting 29 in all competitions as he capitalised on Carlos Bacca’s departure, but he was nonetheless overlooked by France for Euro 2016.
