Cristiano Ronaldo confirms he and Real Madrid will soon talk about a new contract and discusses the Ballon d’Or.
Ronaldo has been on holiday on Ibiza and as well as confirming he won’t be fit for the UEFA Super Cup in early August, revealed he and Florentino Perez have spoken about a renewal and more talks will take place when he’s back in the capital.
“I’ve spoken with the President by phone and we’ll talk when I return to Madrid. Obviously it’s something I want. The club also has to want it and there’ll be something more concrete soon,” the Euro 2016 winner said, AS reports, before touching on the Ballon d’Or.
“The Ballon d’Or isn’t up to me, but I know I’m in a good position, considering I won the Champions League and the Euros. These things come naturally.”
