Jose Mourinho is reportedly happy for Juan Mata to stay at Manchester United but only if the Spain international accepts squad rotation
AS cites reports from England that claim Mata has been told that to remain at Old Trafford he’ll have to accept a reduced role, maybe playing one game in three, the speculation being that he would leave United once Mourinho was appointed.
It was Mourinho who sold Mata to United when Chelsea manager after Mata struggled to get into the team, and with the arrival of the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitarayan, and the presence of Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, Mata was expected to be squeezed out again.
