Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed an offer from Atletico Madrid for Gonzalo Higuain of ‘more than €60m and two or three players.’
Juventus have been strongly linked with the ex-Real Madrid forward but De Laurentiis told a Press conference that only Los Colchoneros have made an official approach, which was rejected.
“The only proposal for Pipita came from Atleti. Their President [Enrique Cerezo] called me offering more than €60m and two or three players, but I told him it couldn’t be, very calmly,” he is quoted as saying by AS, before insisting Higuain would only be sold for his €94m clause.
