Milan target Mateo Musacchio was absent from Villarreal’s first preseason friendly as the Yellow Submarine beat L’Hospitalet 1-0 on Saturday.
Alfonso Pedraza’s late goal secured a narrow victory for Villarreal over their Segunda B opponents, but the match was overshadowed by Musacchio’s presence in the stands as opposed to Marcelino’s matchday squad.
AS reports talks between Milan and Villarreal for the defender are ongoing but are becoming protracted, with the Rossoneri only offering €25m – €5m less than the minimum the Yellow Submarine are willing to accept.
