Robert Fernandez has dropped a hint that Barcelona are interested in Andre Gomes as the Valencia midfielder is “a great player”.
Gomes has been heavily linked with Barca over the past week as speculation linking him with moves to Juventus and the Premier League has cooled, and Mundo Deportivo has interpreted Robert’s latest remarks as corroboration of those links.
“I’ll just say that Andre Gomes and Pogba are two great players,” the technical secretary was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo.
“There’s a lot of the market to go, there are many things to do and operations to be carried out with several clubs. It’ll be a long summer.”
MD adds Robert’s admission of Paul Pogba was only a reference to Barca’s failed pursuit of the Juventus star last summer.
