Denis Suarez says his idea was always to return to Barcelona and he isn’t overawed by the competition for places at Camp Nou.
Barca exercised their option on Suarez to bring him back to Villarreal and after completing a medical, the 22-year-old expressed his happiness at the switch.
“I’m very happy to be with the best team in the world, coming back is what I’ve wanted since I left. It’s a dream, I hope to enjoy it and make the fans happy,” he said, Sport reports, having also spent time at Sevilla.
“My idea was always to return. I’m very happy to start this wonderful stage and I hope it will be very successful. I’ve matured as a player and a person and I’m ready to take the leap. I want to succeed here.
“Competition is always good. I’m here to fight for a spot and to play the most minutes possible. I want to play and succeed at Barca.”
