Ronaldo: Respect to Croatia

Cristiano Ronaldo has respect for Portugal’s next Euro 2016 opponents Croatia as ‘not everyone can beat Spain.’

Croatia dispatched La Roja to beat the European champions to top spot in Group D and set up a meeting with Ronaldo and company, who finished third in Group F after a 3-3 draw with Hungary in which the Real Madrid forward scored twice and created the other goal.

“Not all teams manage to beat Spain so we respect them, although we won’t be intimidated by them and we will try to win,” Ronaldo said, AS reports.

“The priority for us was to beat Hungary, but we didn’t so the most important thing is that we qualified. We thought we’d go through in second, but Iceland scored against Austria in added time.”
