Madrid to keep Morata?

Real Madrid have reportedly changed their mind on Alvaro Morata as AS claims they will keep the Juventus striker once they redeem their €30m buyback option.

According to the newspaper, Zinedine Zidane will give his approval on Morata returning next week, despite the difficulties facing the attacker in displacing the ‘BBC’ of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Morata made it clear he was not thinking about his future after his brace in Spain’s 3-0 Euro 2016 win against Turkey on Friday, while his agent Juanma Lopez refused to comment when asked about the speculation by AS.

The 23-year-old would see his salary rise from €4.5m net to €6m if he is to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, while his arrival may facilitate Jese Rodriguez’s departure.

Morata was initially expected to be sold on by Los Blancos for a sizeable profit, with the Premier League his likeliest destination.
