Diego Simeone has dropped his biggest hint yet that he will stay at Atletico Madrid after tweeting a photo of him “working” with the club’s management.
Simeone admitted in the wake of Atleti’s defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final last month that he needed time to “think”, amidst speculation the Coach was referring to a possible exit, but his recent Twitter activity suggests otherwise.
“Working from Buenos Aires,” read the tweet, accompanied by a picture of the Argentine alongside CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin and sporting director Andrea Berta.
Marca adds Gil Marin visited Mauricio Macri, President of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Atleti forward Angel Correa and Nicolas Gaitan’s agent while he was in Buenos Aires.
