Sevilla are reportedly on the verge of appointing Jorge Sampaoli as their new Coach, with Unai Emery set for Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Marca, Sevilla’s search for Emery’s successor is in “its most decisive hours”, and the club have made Sampaoli their No 1 target.
Sampaoli is understood to be travelling to Spain in order to see his new project first hand, while Juanma Lillo, the Argentine’s former Chile assistant and Pep Guardiola’s mentor, is expected to land in Andalusia on Sunday.
The newspaper adds the Copa America-winner will be offered a two-year contract by Los Nervionenses, who have come to terms with Emery heading for PSG.
The 56-year-old has reportedly seen off competition from new Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores and ex-Roma trainer Rudi Garcia for the role, despite appearing closer to Granada just five days ago.
