Isco: A gross injustice

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has slammed reports of his involvement in the Torbe sexual-abuse case as “a very serious mistake and a gross injustice”.

Isco was the third and final player after David de Gea and Iker Muniain to be linked to the allegations via El Mundo and El Confidencial on Friday, but he quickly took to his official Twitter account in a bid to plead his innocence.

“With the emergence of my name in some reports during the last few hours, I want to communicate that any relationships between these alleged events and I are resoundingly false,” he wrote.

“I know absolutely nothing about the events and never had any knowledge of them. Therefore I have asked my lawyers to take all the legal action they deem appropriate to make it very clear that the appearance of my name in this case is a very serious mistake and a gross injustice.”
