Real Betis have completed the signing of midfielder Jonas Martin from Montpellier for a reported €2.5m.
Martin landed in Seville on Wednesday and underwent a medical a day a later, before putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.
The 26-year-old is expected to be the first of two midfield reinforcements over the coming weeks as new sporting director Miguel Torrecilla is working to a deadline of July 7, when the Andalusians’ preseason officially begins.
He becomes Betis’ second summer signing after Danish left-back Riza Durmisi.
