Arsenal planning Bellerin renewal

Arsenal are ready to renew Hector Bellerin’s contract in an effort to face down interest from Barcelona.

AS cites the Daily Mirror as reporting the Gunners want to improve Bellerin’s wage packet and extend the terms of his deal, which currently runs until 2019, after he emerged as a Barca target to replace the departing Dani Alves.

Bellerin is a product of Barca’s Masia academy, quitting the Catalans for the Londoners in 2011 and breaking into Arsene Wenger’s first team over the past season, his form winning a place in Spain’s Euro 2016 squad after Dani Carvajal was injured.
