Andres Iniesta hailed Barcelona as “the best and most consistent team” in La Liga after Saturday’s successful title defence.
Barca defeated Granada 3-0 in their final League game of the season, aided by a hat-trick from Luis Suarez, to not only keep hold of their crown but claim it for a 24th time, and Iniesta was delighted to cap off the season with the championship.
“The League is the prize for consistency,” the midfielder said after the game.
“We suffered until the very end, but winning six out of eight League titles emphasises a cycle we want to extend.
“We had a very good advantage [at the top] and our rivals came close [to overcoming it].
“In the end, the winners are the best and most consistent team.
“When you win the League, it can never be a bad season.
“If you win Champions League too then it’s even more remarkable, but the title deserves a celebration with the fans.”
