Reports in France claim Paris Saint-Germain have identified Cristiano Ronaldo, Jan Oblak and Diego Simeone as summer captures.
AS cites France Football, who say PSG want five new faces of which Ronaldo, Oblak and Simeone are three – the others are Leonardo, their former sporting director, and Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra, previously of Real Madrid.
Cholo is identified as the preferred choice for the bench, currently occupied by Laurent Blanc, and PSG are envious of his success with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Ronaldo is a long-standing target and the Ligue 1 champions, funded by Qatar, are the only club who could likely afford to prise him from Santiago Bernabeu, while Oblak is considered a better option than current PSG goalkeepers Salvatore Sirigu and Kevin Trapp.
It’s acknowledged thought that the La Liga representatives would be difficult or expensive signings, or both.
