Real Madrid great Paco Gento wants to see his team repeat the Champions League success of two years ago against Atletico Madrid.
Gento, 82 and six-time European Cup winner with Los Blancos, was speaking at a Real Madrid Foundation event and urged the current generation to claim another trophy.
“We’ll win the same as in Portugal. We have a great team, great players and we can’t fail. We have to fight like wild beasts for 90 minutes, which is how triumphs are achieved. We’ve never played for a draw, always going to win and that’s how we have achieved many successes,” he said, Marca reports.
“Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are amazing. There’s hardly anyone like them. Bale is very quick and he has a great shot. If they linked up a bit more we’d win more games.”
