Casillas: I’m not going to Miami

Spain captain Iker Casillas has denied he will leave Porto to join, Miami United, and congratulated Real Madrid.

AS reports Casillas recording a video as he travelled to training, the goalkeeper also commenting on former club Madrid and the Champions League semi-final win over Manchester City.

“Obviously I’m not going to Miami. I’m very happy here and everyone has welcomed me very well,” Casillas said, having left Santiago Bernabeu in summer 2015.

“[Madrid vs. City] was a different game because of the result in England [0-0]. There was fear, especially for Madrid, because if City scored they’d have to score two. But in the end Madrid were better and deservedly qualified.

“I’m very happy because Madrid deserve it and there are Madrid fans who suffer at a distance. I’m so glad for Madrid, for my friends and we’ll see in Milan if La Undecima can be achieved.

“Bayern Munich vs. Atletico Madrid was a good game and well-contested. Two missed penalties, the goalkeepers were very good. Jan Oblak is having a good season and congratulations to Atletico for getting to the final.”
