Espanyol trio up Barca ante

Espanyol midfielder Victor Sanchez has warned Barcelona “we’re going to Camp Nou to win”, while “it’s their problem” if they squander the Primera title.

Espanyol travel to Barca this Saturday in a repeat of 2006-07’s penultimate game, when Raul Tamudo scored a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw with their fellow Catalans to ultimately hand Real Madrid the League crown that season.

“We’re going to Camp Nou to win,” Victor said after Sunday’s 1-0 win against Sevilla, Felipe Caicedo’s [pictured] goal leaving Los Blanquizales within touching distance of safety.

“Forty points may be enough for us to stay in La Liga, I don’t know, but hopefully we’ll have 46 at the end of the season.

“Either way, we won’t stop Barcelona from winning the title. If they win or lose, it’s their problem.”

“While the League is still going, I won’t relax,” added Pape Diop.

Goalkeeper Pau Lopez concluded: “Doing something at Camp Nou would be a way to give joy to the fans after admittedly a bad season.”
