Traore facing Villa backlash?

Adama Traore could be punished by Aston Villa after the former Barcelona winger reportedly slammed the club on social media.

According to the Spanish Press, Traore made his feelings known about his predicament at Villa by taking to his personal Facebook account and accusing the Premier League basement boys of “making him feel worthless”.

“They underestimate you and make you feel worthless, but you work hard behind the scenes to show them what you’re worth and let them see what they’ve lost,” he is understood to have written after his side’s 4-2 defeat to Southampton on Saturday.

However, his profile on the platform is no longer active, prompting the Daily Mail to speculate that the Spain Under-19 international is in line to be sanctioned by his employers.

Traore joined Villa from Barca last summer for €10m but has played just 10 League games for the Birmingham club, who were relegated last weekend, while the Catalans inserted a buyback clause into his sale.
