Barca squad for Depor confirmed

Luis Enrique has named his 18-man squad to play Deportivo La Coruna with Marc Bartra expected to get the nod in the centre of the Barcelona defence.

Barca go to Riazor looking to stay top of La Liga as their lead over Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid has been whittled down, Barca now level with Atleti and a point clear of Los Blancos.

The Catalans take goalkeepers Claudio Bravo and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen to Galicia, but can only name two central defenders among the travelling party.

Gerard Pique is suspended, but will reportedly travel with the team anyway, while Jeremy Mathieu and Thomas Vermaelen are injured, so Javier Mascherano is in line to be joined by Bartra, who has featured only sporadically this season.

Dani Alves, Douglas, Jordi Alba and Adriano are the other defensive options, with Sergi Roberto, who played right-back against Valencia, also named.

Arda Turan is fit to take his place in the group after a bout of illness and it’s his fellow summer arrival, Aleix Vidal, who is the biggest name omission.

Barcelona squad to play Deportivo La Coruna:

Bravo, Ter Stegen, Douglas, Dani Alves, Mascherano, Bartra, Alba, Adriano, Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Rakitic, Iniesta, Turan, Rafinha, Munir, Messi, Neymar, Suarez
