Dani Carvajal asserted Real Madrid “will die” to reach the Champions League semi-finals after Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Eibar in La Liga.
Madrid bounced back from their Wolfsburg humbling midweek in the best way possible thanks to goals from James Rodriguez, Lucas Vazquez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jese Rodriguez, and Carvajal immediately turned his attentions to the “war of 80,000” Blancos after the game.
“The boos [for Danilo] are unfair. If the fans boo one player, they’re booing us all,” the right-back said.
“The Coach told us to go for them from the beginning as we’d enjoy the game more that way.
“Tuesday will be a war. Eighty-thousand will play against Wolfsburg [referring to their fans].
“Here with our fans, it’s not utopian to win and turn [the tie] around. We’ll die to get past our opponents.”
