Angulo leaves Valencia post

Miguel Angulo has left his coaching role with the Valencia first team after the sacking of Gary Neville as Coach.

Neville was on Wednesday sacked after Los Che dropped from ninth to 14th in his 16 La Liga games in charge and Angulo, who left his role with the club’s youth team to link up with Neville, has been removed as well.

Super Deporte reports Angulo was informed by the club that his services were no longer required with the first team, though he is still attached to Valencia.

Pako Ayestaran, who was also on Neville’s staff, is taking charge of the first team for the rest of the season.

Ayestaran will be aided by Jose Viela, who he worked with at Mexico’s Santos Laguna, and David Caneda, who nearly joined the Valencia staff earlier in the season with Ayestaran, but Super Deporte notes a ‘controversial’ social media comment about Neville saw him turned away.
