Iniesta: Clasico win to tribute Cruyff

Andres Iniesta agrees it would be a tribute to Johan Cruyff for Barcelona to beat Real Madrid in Saturday’s Clasico.

Cruyff passed away earlier in March and the visit of Los Blancos to Camp Nou is Barca’s first game since his death, with a series of tributes planned to the iconic former player and Coach.

“Without a doubt it would be a very nice game to win to pay tribute to Cruyff, who left so much to Barca and to the world of football,” the captain told a Press conference, AS reports.

“Hopefully, on Saturday, in what is already a special game will be added motivation.”

Iniesta didn’t discuss the reported Barca tributes to Cruyff – said to include a mosaic bearing his name and a ‘thank you Cruyff’ message on the players’ shirts – but confirmed there would be a homage to the Dutchman.

“When everyone is here we’ll talk about it, but we have something in mind,” he added.
