Jeremy Menez believes Real Madrid striker and France colleague Karim Benzema should go to Euro 2016. ‘Only France goes on about ethics…’
Benzema’s involvement in the squad is complicated by his alleged role in an attempt to blackmail France midfielder Mathieu Valbuena, with doubts over whether or not Benzema will be considered – but for Menez the answer is clear.
“I think he absolutely should be at the Euros. Of course,” the Milan forward told RMC Sport.
“How could it not help the Coach to play in a competition like this with the best current French player?
“It’s only in France we go on about ethics, in other countries that doesn’t exist. The best players are called, they play, they win for their team and after everyone forgets.
“Right now no-one knows if he did anything or not, it’s useless to judge him. It would be a shame if the best French player wasn’t there.”
