Andres Iniesta hailed the late Johan Cruyff as ‘the key person to Barcelona’s current and future success’ after the ex-Coach passed away.
It was announced on Thursday that Cruyff had passed away at the age of 68 after suffering from cancer, with tributes from across football, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
“Sending a big embrace and my deepest condolences to the family of Johan on behalf of all the team,” Barca captain Iniesta said, Mundo Deportivo reports.
“It’s a big loss, a very said day for the family of Barca and the world of football, for all the people who know the influence he has had on the sport.
“I had the opportunity to speak with him several times. I remain in his influence. He’s the key person to our current and future success.”
