Quique Setien expects an “equal” encounter when Las Palmas travel to Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday.
The islanders’ run of three straight victories ended at the hands of Real Madrid last weekend, but they remain three points clear of the relegation zone with eight games left to play, and the Coach is in no mood to let his side become complacent.
“We’ll try to maintain our line of performance against a team who are equal to us,” he said at a Press conference.
“The game will be decided by what happens in each box. We’re travelling there with the motivation of getting the three points and maintaining consistency in terms of our game and intensity.
“We’re most concerned by the quality of their forwards, and it’s an important match for [La Real] too.
“[On reports of a contract extension], it’s the first I’ve heard of it.
“I know absolutely nothing, I haven’t started talks with the club and don’t think it’s the right time to talk about these things because there’s a lot of the season left.”
