Barcelona’s Dani Alves agrees with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s praise for Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Wenger said after Barca’s 3-1 Champions League Round of 16 second leg win over the Gunners that the trident ‘turn football into art.’
“Words like that from people who understand football and who have done a lot in football are appreciated and I totally agree,” Alves told reporters, according to Marca.
“It’s difficult to match such quality and they make the difference here.”
The victory was Barca’s 38th unbeaten game but Alves insisted the team doesn’t think about the streak, only winning the next one.
“We don’t think about the numbers. Every game we play, we try to prepare well and to keep winning,” he confirmed.
“That’s ultimately what allows you to achieve your objectives. The numbers don’t count for much because if you add a lot of numbers but don’t reach you’re objectives, you’re not satisfied.”
