Neymar: No trident favouritism

Neymar insists he, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez get along so well there’s no rivalry over who are closest friends.

The Barcelona front three have been in prolific form this season and Neymar, speaking to Brazil’s Globo, stresses it’s a combined effort.

“I don’t think there is anyone I’m closest too. I’ve been with Messi longer, but then Suarez came and we become very close,” he revealed, Mundo Deportivo reports.

“The three of us are always playing in training and elsewhere. The affinity we have is very big.”

Neymar admitted that his Barcelona career has produced even more success than he expected when he moved from Santos in 2013.

“It’s been better than I thought. Of course, I imagined great things. Everything I came to Barcelona for, I’ve conquered,” he continued.

“Now I just keep going so I can repeat what we’ve won. I’m happy, at home. I think this is my best season.

“For maturity, experience, with my teammates…all this helps every day. I think I can say that of my whole career, this is my best moment.

“I’ve grown up in many ways, tactically and even my personal life. I’ve been helped a lot by the club and I’m happy for that. I hope to grow every day evolving as a person and a player every year.”
