‘Barca turn normal life into art’

Arsene Wenger admitted Barcelona “have two or three players who transfer normal life into art” after Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat at Camp Nou on Wednesday.

Arsenal were eliminated 5-1 on aggregate at the last-16 stage of the Champions League by Barca, with the ‘MSN’ all getting on the scoresheet in the second leg, and Wenger hinted the trio were a class apart.

“The quality of our game was good,” the manager said after the game, UEFA.com reports.

“I am disappointed with the result as I felt at 1-1 they were wobbling a bit.

“We had our chances, but we couldn't take them. But we have to say well done to Barcelona.

“They have two or three players who transfer normal life into art.

“In the two games, if you look at danger situations we created many.

“It is difficult to take to go out but I believe we produced quality performance against probably the best team in Europe.”
