Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco has revealed that Diego Simeone “will let me do what I want … if I do well”.
Carrasco enjoyed a goalscoring return from injury in Atleti’s 3-1 win at Valencia last weekend, and he claims to have been offered a free role by Simeone, providing he continues contributing in an attacking sense on a regular basis.
“Simeone will let me do what I want … if I do well,” he told Marca.
“He’s asked me for more goals and assists as they’re decisive for the team. A player can always do more.
"My style [of play] is from having always played in the street.
“All teams [defend], but the truth is that we defend more here.”
