Navas: Madrid believe in Undecima

Keylor Navas insists the Real Madrid squad has enough faith in themselves to win the Champions League, what would be the club’s 11th European Cup.

La Decima was claimed in 2014 after a 12-year wait but Navas, speaking after Roma were vanquished in the Round of 16, says the gap to the next continental success may not be so long.

“We all believe we can win the trophy. I want to win it,” he said, AS reports.

The clean sheet Navas kept against the Italians meant he passed 700 minutes without conceding, but the Costa Rica international admitted Roma came close to breaching the back line.

“We had to suffer. There are situations we’re attacked and it’s hard for us to be ordered. We have to correct that as soon as possible,” he acknowledged.

“I always try to do my best work. When I have to intervene, things are coming off for me and I was able to stop Roma’s chances.”
