Denis Suarez will return to Barcelona from Villarreal this summer and be joined by three new faces, a report in Spain claims.
Marca says the Catalans will exercise their €3m option on Suarez and he will be their only midfield addition, barring the unlikely exit of one of the current group.
Barca want to bring a centre-back, a full-back and a forward to Camp Nou and has €50m to spend on their summer purchases.
There are four names on the list for potential central defensive additions – Marquinhos, Aymeric Laporte, Jose Gimenez and John Stones.
Whoever is drafted in will be joined by a full-back, as it’s an area Barca could find themselves short on bodies.
Luis Enrique still prefers Nolito to bolster his attacking options but the high price that proved a block in the winter remains an issue.
Nolito would be the first change whenever one of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez or Neymar couldn’t play, and Munir El-Haddadi would be fifth in the pecking order.
There may also be a problem in goal as both Claudio Bravo and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen want to hold the gloves for every competition, and there’s a chance one of them could leave.
The club’s summer business could also see Marc Bartra, Thomas Vermaelen, Douglas, Adriano, Dani Alves and Sandro Ramirez move on, as well as one of the goalkeepers.
