Lucas Vazquez has vowed to continue “giving my all” for the Real Madrid cause after starring in Wednesday’s 3-1 win at Levante.
Vazquez’s performance at Ciutat de Valencia, where he won the penalty for Cristiano Ronaldo to open the scoring, prompted many on social media to shower him with praise, and he was flattered by the support he received.
“It’s good when people speak well of you, but now I must keep working,” he said after the game.
“I have to seize the opportunities I get, but I’m always at the Coach’s disposal.
“I had to give my all to help the team get the three points, and I think we can win again on Saturday.
“[On Cristiano Ronaldo’s post-Atletico Madrid outburst], we sorted everything out the next day. It’s in past and forgotten.
“While there’s still life [in the title race], there’s hope. It also serves as good preparation for the Champions League.”
