Thiago Alcantara has denied claims he’ll follow Pep Guardiola from Bayern Munich to Manchester City.
It had been suggested that the Spain international would go with Guardiola to the Premier League, having joined his former Barcelona boss in Bavaria.
“There are always rumours. What is true is that Guardiola will go to City and we have to respect his decision. But it’s a lie I’ll follow,” Mundo Deportivo quotes Thiago as saying, citing the deal he agreed last summer until 2019.
“I wouldn’t have signed a new contract if I wanted to change clubs. I renewed for one reason: I like life in Munich.
“I enjoy the city and the life here and I have no intention of a change of scenery.”
