Keylor Navas says having Cristiano Ronaldo, ‘the best player in the world,’ is key to a ‘calm’ Real Madrid.
Ronaldo scored as Madrid beat Roma 2-0 in Italy to take a commanding lead of their Champions League tie, and Navas praised the Portuguese post-match.
“Having the best in the world is key, it helped us take that step of scoring and moving forward in the game,” AS quotes the goalkeeper as saying.
“We’re calm, we have to be united and we’re proving it on the pitch. We played a good game, we were serious.
“There were times it was difficult but it’s important to continue to victory. They were sitting back so we couldn’t take risks.
“They have important players, but it was easier for us when they were out the game.
“We’re going to take the next game seriously. You can’t take anything for granted, it’s 90 minutes.”
