‘Neymar is happy where he is’

Roberto Carlos played down Neymar to Real Madrid and questioned why the Copa del Rey Final should be at Santiago Bernabeu.

The showpiece between Barcelona and Sevilla has been touted for the home of Real Madrid, but there is reluctance to host the game from the capital, and a Bruce Springsteen concert on the same day has rendered the discussion moot.

“I wouldn’t have the Final at the Bernabeu. There’s a lot of places to play the Final, why there?” Carlos asked in an interview with Cadena SER, Marca reports.

“In 2004 Barca didn’t give Camp Nou for us to play the Final against Real Zaragoza.”

Carlos pointed to another perceived double standard in referencing Lionel Messi’s penalty pass against Celta Vigo, and discussed another of Barca’s MSN.

“If we did Messi’s penalty at the Bernabeu, that would be disrespectful,” he claimed.

“Neymar? Let’s be calm. He’s happy where he is and we have very good players.

“It’s only at Barca they speak about three players. At Madrid the talk is of a group of players.”
