Manchester clubs fight for Neymar?

Reports from England say Manchester City and Manchester United are both considering meeting Neymar’s release clause to get the Barcelona forward.

AS notes it’s claimed that the Brazil international is Pep Guardiola’s No 1 priority signing for when he takes over from Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.

Neymar’s current Barca contract expires in 2018 and negotiations over a new one are gradually getting underway but the Premier League pair are said to be looking to exploit any delay.

United would be willing to pay Neymar in the region of €60m-a-season as well as meeting his €190m release fee.

City would offer Neymar a similar amount and both clubs would make Neymar their central figure, a role he won’t have at Barca due to the presence of Lionel Messi.
